Surgical Instruments
We manufacture well known microsurgical instruments called the Rosterei Series, including forceps such as the M-1R. M-2R, M-5R and S-9B, and KI series. Before we produced them, surgical instruments were made out of local hot-forged materials. But we started to use cold-forged stainless steel material supplied from West Germany's Solingen, as famous American and European surgical instruments manufactures have been applying the system. The blank used for manufacturing instrument is stamped out of cold- forged stainless steel plate similar to the shape and size of finished instrument.

Operation Microscope
After 1965, a several doctors in Japan gathered privately and formed the "Microscope Surgery Meeting" to explain the importance of using operating microscope and started the development of operating microscope and microsurgical instruments. We also joined it to develop our own surgical microscopes and a wide range of microsurgical instruments. This private meeting was developed into one of the most important societies in Japan. At present, our operating microscopes are used worldwide. We strive to develop our own optical system and mechanism so that we provide middle or small-sized surgical microscopes to meet the worldwide requirements. The L-0980A with built-in X-Y adjusting device, as well as the L-0990 and L-0940 series, are favorably accepted. Each product is designed with the priority of easy use for medical doctors. In this way it has the one-touch light bulb replacement function for emergency in addition to sufficient optional accessories such as a TV camera adaptor. We always develop our products for high quality, easy use and satisfying service.

Slit Lamp
Upon the request of Mentor, we first shipped 20 slit lamps mostly used for ophthalmologist's tests to the USA in 1970. Since then, we have been successful in supplying our slit lamps to the international market. We manufacture slit lamps hoping that they serve many doctors well in their daily use. We also manufacture our own equipment keeping in mind ease of use by medical doctors. We also have various related devices including the L-0229 series of wide-field and high-resolution slit lamps equipped with a unit which changes the illumination field into 15ø and 8ø (S.I.GRANDE), the L-0394 "ATTO" series with a portable compact size and high performance, and the L-5110 Applanation tonometer. We will continue to manufacture excellent lens system and slit lamps to help many patients and ophthalmologists in the world.
