Paraffin Bath
DESCRIPTION: Deluxe type paraffin bath with electrically lifting tank. Used for both upper and lower limbs.
SPECIFICATION: - Tank moves up and down at will.
- Digital weekly timer turns heater ON and OFF at preset time and preset day of the week.
- More treatment space is available with the up-down mechanism at the rear end.
- Filtering device takes off dusts of paraffin after use.
When melting, paraffin absorbs much heat and when coagulating, paraffin discharges same much heat and keeps discharging for a good while. Also, since paraffin’s heat conductivity is very low and heat is discharged very slowly, paraffin does not feel very hot. As a result, it is possible to treat at rather high temperature, usually at 50 to 55 degrees Celcius.
Effects are: 1. Blood vessels expand reflectively by local congestion. 2. Skin moistens and softens by local perspiration. Often used for before-treatment of massage, correction and exercise therapy.
Features sedative effect which cannot be found in other dry heat therapies.
Since equally heating uneven portions, it is often used for bone fracture and amputation of fingers, palms and forearms.
